Today in Peshkopia, the training on “Alternative Financing – IPARD Program Schemes”, focusing on Entrepreneurial Women of Agribusiness in this region, is taking place.
This training is organized under the EU-funded IPA cross-border project on “Standards and Certification of Agricultural Products, Capacity Building in Fundraising and Marketing Strategies in Supporting Economic Growth and Agribusiness Trade”, by its implementing partners Creative Business Solutions (CBS), Regional Development Agency-2, and Debar Commune.
The training also features the kind cooperation of Agritra – Vision Dibra organization, one of whose main objectives is to grow the economic empowerment of women and girls in this region.
In this work-shop like training, some 20 entrepreneurial women of the agri-sector in Dibra region actively participate.
Apple jam, jufkas, cherry compote, and other products of Dibra region are the tradition and the legacy of these women.
Their products represent a significant part of agribusiness in this area. It’s a matter about dedication, cleanliness, taste and nature all together packed in just one simple jar or in one Dibra’s jufka dishes.
The improvement of technology in Agro-Processing sector through the absorption of the national grants and those from the European Union as well, and also the certification and branding of this region’s traditional product, will always be part of the support from the IPA II Cross Border Program./AgroWeb.org
