TIRANA, ATA – “Assessment of the method of financing micro and agricultural enterprises” is the latest research document released by the Bank of Albania and carried out by by Kliti Ceca and Elona Dushku from the Bank’s Research Department.
The paper aims to present the results of the survey conducted by the Bank of Albania in 2017 H1 on micro-enterprises and agricultural enterprises.
Namely, 1000 agricultural enterprises and 3200 micro enterprises were surveyed regarding their financial performance, sources of financing, loan structure, etc.
According to Central Bank, the survey’s data will be used to assess the debt level of these enterprises, comparing it to large and medium-sized enterprises.
Agriculture sector remains an engine of economic growth of Albania, but statistics show financing still falls short of expectations due to the difficulties facing the banking sector and therefore experts appeal for creating efficient lending models to this sector.
