Another three-day training, following the cycle of the Alternative Financing Training, held in Peshkopia under the EU-funded IPA cross-border project on “Standards and Certification of Agricultural Products, Capacity Building in Fundraising and Marketing Strategies in Supporting Economic Growth and Agribusiness Trade”.

The informative event was hosted and organized by its implementing partners, Creative Business Solutions (CBS), Regional Development Agency-2 (RDA2), and Debar Commune, in the city of Peshkopia.

The main focus of this training will be the detailed description of the IPARD funding schemes, as well as the spot-on application method for agribusinesses, so they can benefit from these funds.

This session will aim at the acquisition of the necessary knowledge about these schemes by the agribusinesses of Debar area, so that their applications success rate for these funds, can be one of a high degree.

Farmers and agro processors from Peshkopia, Maqellara, Bulqiza, Klos and Mat municipalities, are invited to participate in this seminar.

An active part of this event will also be the local authorities, staff of agriculture directorates and field experts.

The Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) is the main tool of the European Union to provide financial and technical support to the enlargement countries.

This Instrument has a component of Rural Development (IPARD), which provides EU candidate countries with assistance for the implementation of multi-annual programs, contributing to the sustainable development of the agricultural sector and rural areas.

The main objectives of IPARD funds are:

Supporting investments in the agrifood sector with an intention of  improving competitiveness, meeting EU standards and respecting the standards of nature and environment protection.
